Our children enjoy many activities during the academic year.

Pet Service

All children went to the church and had a service to thank God for our animals. Some families even brought their dogs, hamsters, tortoises and stick insects.  Other children brought pictures to help them think of their pet.  We thought about how glad we are that we have pets in our lives and how we need to take care of them. Thank you to Rev Rosemary for letting us use the church and parents who brought pets along.

Author Visit

We welcomed author Lucy Reynolds to Ewhurst School Year 1 and 2 enjoyed listing to her book and all her explanations! They were all very lucky to receive a named copy of "A Raindrop Falls - A story of our water, from source to sea and back again". Thank you so much Lucy Reynolds for visiting our school, the pupils learnt a lot, all really enjoyed your visit and are very proud of their book.

Pied Piper performance ZOOM!

The children were very lucky to enjoy the performance:

"Molly knows everything about space. All the planets and their moons; even the number of Saturn's rings. EVERYTHING! Molly is definitely, absolutely going to be an astronaut when she grows up. But when, one wintry night, Molly meets a visitor from outer space she realises she still has a lot to learn about looking after our very own planet, Earth."

Christmas at Ewhurst

So many things are happening at Ewhurst Infants during the festive season. See our special newsletter for this time!

Kindness Week

The children will be exploring what it means to show kindness to one another in school and within the community. Each class will perform a random act of kindness for a group of people in our local community to understand the power of kindness.
As part of Kindness Week, we will also be celebrating Odd Socks Day on Monday. Children are encouraged to wear odd socks to school along with their normal uniform. This is to celebrate that everyone is different, we respect those differences and do not use them to be unkind to anyone.

School trip to RHS Wisley

Holly Class had an amazing time at Wisley where they were learning more about plants.  They enjoyed walking under the wisteria arch, discovering ladybirds and exploring in the World Garden.   Activities included naming trees, finding parts of plants we could eat and seeing a real weather station.   Lunch was a highlight, when we were joined by a family of hungry geese who were keen to see what was going on.   This morning the children described the trip as interesting, inspiring, beautiful and awesome.   A huge thank you to the parent helpers who accompanied the children on this trip which made this trip possible.
